Sale at Loughborough Library!

Library stockLeicestershire County Council’s Loughborough Library is holding a stock sale during normal opening hours from Friday 23 March until Monday 26 March.
There will be adult fiction and non-fiction in all different formats – regular print, large print and talking book.
In addition there will be lots of story and fact books to keep children entertained, ranging from picture and beginner reader books to teenage and talking books.  Please contact the library for more details on 0116 305 2420.

Loughborough Library is holding a sale of surplus stock from Sat 2nd July to Sunday 10th July.

There will be a wide range of items for sale including books (fiction, non-fiction and children’s). DVDs, CDs and books on CD and tape.

Tales of crime, war and mobile phones coming to Coalville Library

Tales of crime, war and mobile phones coming to Coalville Library

 

R.J. Ellory, writer of seven bestselling crime novels including the award-winning A Simple Act Of Violence, is appearing at Coalville Library to discuss his work and sign copies of his books.

 

His talk takes place on Saturday March 5th at 2.30pm, and will cost £1.50 per person. There will also be other crime-fiction related events at the library in March, including a talk on the queen of the genre, Agatha Christie, on Tuesday 15th March at 7pm for just £1.

 

Later in the month, war veterans can bring their photos, films, badges and Royal British Legion memorabilia to Coalville Library to discuss the fascinating stories behind these objects with a historian.

 

This free workshop, which takes place between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 19th March, is part of a landmark project, led by Leicestershire County Council, designed to mark the 90th anniversary of the Legion.

Also at Coalville Library there will be a free taster session for complete beginners who want to know how to use a mobile phone. This Myguide course takes place on Wednesday 16th March between 10am and 12noon.

 

There will also be bargains galore from Wednesday 16th March until Monday 21st March when Coalville Library has its Big Book Sale. Surplus books, CDs and DVDs will be on sale at discounted prices throughout the day.

 





Stock sale at Loughborough Library

Books, music and movies will be available to buy at reasonable prices from Loughborough Library as part of a sale of surplus rental stock.

 

Anyone wishing to extend their own library and help make room for new stock should go along to the library on Granby Street on Saturday 6th between 9am and 5pm and Sunday 7th November between 11am and 4pm.

 

The sale will include hundreds of novels and children’s books, non-fiction books, CDs and DVDs, all in used but otherwise good condition. A bag of fiction books will cost £1 and non-fiction books will be individually priced. CDs will cost 50p each and DVDs will cost £1 each.

Bag a bargain at Earl Shilton book sale

People looking for an inexpensive way of increasing their collections of books, movies or music this half term should come along to Earl Shilton Library’s stock sale.For one week only there will be a sale of withdrawn stock, with hundreds of bargain books available to the public, as well as many CDs and DVDs.From Saturday 16 October until Saturday 23 October bags full of fiction or non-fiction books can be bought from the library for just £1 each, with prices of individual items varying.The library opens every week day and Saturday at 9.30am and closes at 5pm on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, 1pm on Wednesdays and 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Bargains galore at county libraries’ sale

Bargain books, CDs and DVDs will be available for the public to buy at Leicestershire County Council’s Library Service’s sale of ex-stock at the end of the month.

Surplus items in good condition from libraries across the county will be available at Rothley Crossroads at knock-down prices. Books will be on sale from 20p each, with CDs and DVDs from £1 each.

There will be hundreds of fiction and non-fiction works, and even some rare specialist and local studies books, as well as many blockbuster movies, TV shows and kid’s cartoons on DVD, and pop, rock, dance and classical albums and compilations.

The sale will be held from 9am until 4pm on Saturday October 30th and from 9am until 3pm on Sunday October 31st at the county council’s Library Service’s HQ on the crossroads of Loughborough Road in Rothley, opposite the Red Lion pub. The post code is LE7 7NH.

There is a car park at the back of the building, with disabled parking at the front, and the sale will be accessed through the Cossington Lane entrance of the building.

Surplus items in good condition from libraries across the county will be gathered together at Rothley Crossroads and sold to the public at knock-down prices. Books will be on sale from 20p and CDs and DVDs will be £1 each.

As well as thousands of popular page-turners there will be hundreds of blockbuster movies, TV shows and kid’s cartoons, as well as some of the latest albums by chart-topping bands, compilations of classical and jazz music, audio-books and even some rare specialist and local studies books.

The sale will be held from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Saturday June 26th and from 11.00am until 3.00pm on Sunday June 27th at the Library Service’s HQ on Loughborough Road crossroads in Rothley, opposite the Red Lion pub.

Loughborough Library is holding a grand book sale on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of June.
